I have a 02 C320. I started to hear this popping sound or a hard click coming from the underneath the passenger side dash. It will only do it on start up and it clicks 8 times every time after start. Help?

 

this has happened to me also in my C240...they say its a blower motor from inside the dash. some say that it can be fixed without taking out the whole dash, others say that they can fix the motor while keeping the dash on....i left mine alone and in a matter of 2 months it went away and i have not heard a thing for about 4 months.
