ODOMETERS & TEMP. DISPLAY PROBLEM
 

Hi,

On the front panel of my C180 of 1999, the two odometers and temperature electronic displays do not function ok.

Whole numbers or part of them are missing (sometimes are coming back and then are dissappeared again).

The clock display is ok.

Does anyone know if this problem is repairable, or shall I need to replace the whole front panel?

Well, how handy are you? Often times this problem is caused by bad solders in the cluster. You have to pull out the cluster and start searching. I would perform a forum search so you can see how to pull out the cluster. You will find quite a few problems on these cars are from bad solders. Windows, locks, seats, etc... can sometimes be attributed to this. The key to knowing, is that the part works perfectly fine sometimes or the operation flutters. Normally some kind of bad connection.
