Default OBD-II code

OK, I bought the code reader at Pep Boys, now I need to interpret the code #P0101. The definition in the manual only says "MAF or VAF A Circuit Range/Perf". What the heck does that mean? I do plan to clean the MAF sensor wire tomorrow, hoping that will be the fix, but if anyone knows for sure what this code means, I sure would appreciate you telling me. Thanks.

Default RE: OBD-II code

I had the same problem about 18 months ago. I had to replace the Air Mass Meter. Pretty easy to change. I actually just got the same code again yesterday, so I'll tell you what I come up with this time. Here is a link to the website where I got the part:

http://catalog.worldpac.com/tayco/wi...Air+Mass+Meter.

If anyone knows wherewe can get this a little cheaper, please let us know.

Maybe we should be careful what brand parts we buy. I heard that the Bosch unit is a better made unit. Anxious to hear about the VDO situation you had.
