No Child Lock in Mercedes C320-2004 model
Well i just checked on my 89 560sel and my 86 300sdl and the closest thing to a child lock seems to be that if the driver locks the doors from the inside it takes almost all the strength i have to pull up on the rear door pins so maybe they want a adult to be able to open the door in case of an emergency but it will be too had for a child to pull up.
As far as the door slit it is there but i see nothing in it. Maybe for European only market without power locks? Just a guess.
The owners manual on the car says nothing about child safety locks
If i have time tomorrow i will stop at the MB dealer and ask them were the child safety lock is on a 04 C-Class and put an end to this.

I would agree that the door pins discussed so far are child-resistant to differeing degrees. However, child-resistant means that a child can defeat them. Even chimpanzees use tools.
Sounds like cooldude is right. Not all M-Bs have the childproof locks.

I think everyone understands we're talking about the rear doors in four-door cars. There are some pretty dumb posts in this thread so maybe you're right to point it out.
