Got a notice for a service campaign on my 2006 C 280 4matic.[/align]Called the dealer and as it turns out, they wanted to replace the dipstick with a "new and improved" model which they did at no charge. The new one has a red tip on the end which goes into the oil sump just like the old one, HOWEVER there are 3 marker holes rather than the previous 2. does anyone know exactly how much each dot is supposed to represent? I got a CHECK OIL AT NEXT GAS STATION warning the other day and found the oil reading to be down to the third (from the bottom) dot. I added aproximately .80 litres of oil and this brought the level up to max.[/align][/align]Regards, [/align][/align]Will[/align]
