Default New C class owner

Hey guys, newbie here. Im trading in my 528 for a benz. I want to see what this brand has to offer. I want a C class and I want to keep it around $6K. In my price range Im seeing early to mid 2000's c240's and some late 90's c230's. What are my options as far as C classes go and what are some obvious things to look for when shopping? What maintenance items should I be looking to do in the near future to these cars in my price range. Thanks for any help and advice.

Im really liking the 99-00 C230 Kompressor. It has more power and better gas mileage than the early 2000's c240. And they look sporty too. How are these guys with reliability and maintenance?

I ended up keeping the 528 and putting the money into it. And American made cars will always have a place. Last time i checked Europeans dont do pickups/large suv's. And it would be hard for me to renovate homes out the trunk of my 528 or the wifes E class. lol
