Default Need Explaination?

Hey guys,
am new here but i did a few search around.....am about to buy 2002 Mercedes Benz C class that is said to be a 320, i need some verification from you guys from this VIN number:

WDB2030641F000280

well i beleive the c320 should have a W203 chassis and i do see a 203 number in that VIN above, but need verification and oh well where can i see the engine number to know it is a 3.2L? cause i do see six outlet headers, but it could be a 280 or something!

another thing when i start the car it says EPC software not available...does that mean the EPC system is dead or i need to do a EPC update?

thanks in advance,
Kam

Try this link:VIN ID

(Are you sure you have the correct Vin #- because the vin id link I gave you indicates it is not a valid vin)

The C280 when out of production from 2001-2005, so if you have the year correct, it's not a C280.

The VIN number you gave is actually MB's internal model coding.

WDB indicates it is a German Daimler Benz car

203064 is the Chassis code 203.064

1F000280 is hte serial number

Some other info from the MBEPC lists the model ias C320, the Motor code as 112.946 and the tranny code as 722.618

the real "VIN" number should start out as WDB**## where the *'s are letters and # are number
