I have a 2002 c240 and recently it started having problems shifting. At first it would only happen every once in a while, and if I turned the car off and then on again it would fix the problem. I could tell right after turning the car on because if I could switch it from "standard" to "wet" mode than there was no problem, but if there was it would not let me change it. But now the car is stuck in first gear no matter what I do. It keeps accelerating but wont shift. The fastest I can go is about 25 mph until it starts to red line. This happened for about two days, and then it got a dead battery. I'm hoping that it has something to do with the battery being low. If someone could please tell me that would be great, as I don't want to have to take it into the dealership unless absolutely necassary. Thanks.

 

Have you change the battery yet?
