Hi,
I have a 1995 C220. The temp gauge dose not work. The only way it comes on is when I am at the car wash and I spray along the crack on the drivers side of the hood. Then it works fine till the car is dry. I checked all the fuses they are fine.

Also is this normal... When you take off, if you floor it it is a bit slugish, but if you put the pedal about 3/4 down it takes off a lot faster.

that depends on which crack you spray.

you got the lead already to find out why... was it because of the water or the lower temp...?

sluggish is not normal. a clogged up exhaust pipe or catalyst can cause it also among other things.

 

I spray it along the crack where the food meets the fender. Right in fromt of the windshield. Could there be a bad ground there?
