I have a 1996 Mercedes C220 4 Cylinder and I think I'm having issues with the throttle body, I took it to AutoZone and the the code that came up. The car idles rough on park as the RPM is constantly fluctuating I changed the Mass Air Flow Meter today thinking it would fix the problem but it didn't, I want to change the throttle body tomorrow but I'm afraid it may not solve the problem. When on drive and i hit 300RPM's the car begins to jerk as if its chocking hesitating to go.

Can someone please help!!

 

probably Not the throttle body. maybe you need a tune up? how is the engine wiring harness? if its cracked and brittle it can cause problems., Do you possibly have bad fuel? how old is the fuel filter?

 

I figured it may not be the throttle body either I changed it a couple months ago due to this happening before although it stoping giving me these problem for a while until now... I changed the spark plugs in the summer but I don't mind doing it again when I do an oil change but the wiring on the harness is showing and look old and my mechanic is suspecting that might be the issue of the car Rough Idling , engine misfireing above 3000 rpms and I read up on the fuel harness fault symptoms and it seems as if that may be my problem.... Unfortunately to buy a new one is expensive so I will look around at a local junkyard for one in good condition
