LIMP MODE ON W202 Automatic transmission
My W202 automatic transmitransmission gear go into limp mode after driving like 10-15 minutes. I observed that if I didn't accelerate much it will shift normal but if I accelerate at high speed it goes into limp mode at second gear
Great day, I have a 1999 W202 C class c200 auto facelift with a 722.6 five spd gearbox. My gearbox or vehicle just went into limp mode and wouldn't change out of the main stuff. We got somebody with a demonstrative machine and the vehicle was fine for a spell. The person with the demonstrative machine cautioned me that I'd have to supplant or offer the force converter consideration. It at long last went into limp mode and there was not a chance of getting it out. Gearbox was taken out the vehicle and given to a programmed gearbox specialist. He stripped it and supplanted rubbers and seals. We introduced the gearbox and it remained in limpmode. We attempted demonstrative machines with vehicle and it couldnt convey. We wound up sending vehicle to new specialist who asserted he could fix it. He rather changed the whole gearbox and set a 4speed more established one. The vehicle could drive a while later however had hard changes and on occasion gears would stall out. We chose to eliminate the gearbox and search for the right gearbox that had the round plug which would be ideal for the facelift. We found right gearbox with the right attachment it was the 722.6 gearbox. We introduced it and started up the vehicle. The issue was, we couldnt switch gears and it was stuck. We eliminated gearbox and traded it with another comparative one. Gears change and can get in to gears (P,R,D) and the vehicle drives, however its in limp mode. We went for demonstrative. Demonstrative wont speak with vehicle. We have been attempting to really look at wires and supplant old ones and fill in a few void ones. Still no correspondence with the vehicle.
