Default Lights when opening

I wonder if you guys can help I've got a 2013 c class and the lights on it usually come on when i unlock it from the key but they've stopped doing it now think there called surrounding lights?? I went though the book I've got and trying what it says in there doesn't change it and they still don't come on. I've been through all the menus and i cant find out how to do it, could there be an issue with the key that's stopping it or does anyone know how i can fix it? Any help would be appreciated!

Hello and welcome to the forum! From what I've read, there should just be an on and off option in the Lighting section. I've also attached what I was able to find from the manual:

If you have activated the Surround Lighting function and the light switch is in
the [A] or [AUTO] position, the following functions are active when it is dark:
Surround lighting: the exterior lighting remains lit for 40 seconds after unlocking with the SmartKey. The exterior lighting switches off when you open the driver's door.
Exterior lighting delayed switch-off: the exterior lighting remains lit for 60 seconds after the engine has been switched off. If you close all the doors, the exterior lighting goes off after 15 seconds.

If you activate the Surround Lighting function, the following light up depending on the vehicle's equipment:
the parking lamps
the fog lamps
the daytime running lamps
the side marker lamps
the surround lighting in the exterior mirrors
