I have a 2002 c320. Had this malfunction message pop up last night while I was driving. No light bulbs were recently changed. I check the license plate bulb and both looked fine. I shut the car off and left it for about 2 hours, the malfunction message was gone.

Any ideas? This is not the first electronic issue (false or true problem) I've had before, could it be a sign of other things .
