Checked the ECU : I believe that the part number is : 019-545-31-32

At any rate it appears to be manufactered late '98 and not 1997 so don't think it is affected by this service bulletin...

you have just checked the ASR control unit.

check the other one.

it appears to be manufactered late '98
your car was produced 09-09-1998. most likely they produce the parts first then make the car.

Re-checked with MAS dis-connected : no engine light on .... I find this kinda strange and indicative of a faulty ECU but I hope not they are probably very, very $$$$$$$$

Maybe you just need to reload the ECU software. Or have it done, rather.
