Issue with C320
I am wondering if anyone has had an issue with the front left or right headlamp turn signal. When signaling to turn left in my car, the turn signal sound is normal for 1 or 2 seconds. The turn signal sound then accelerates to a very fast rate or clicking sound. I have a malfunction on my console that tells me to check the turn signal lamp. Well, I went to the store and purchased a new bulb, thinking that the bulb simply had died. I opened the headlamp assembly and replaced the old bulb with a new one. The old bulb looked visually fine. I tried the left turn signal again and still the same problem. Well, I checked the battery to make sure the terminals are good (no corrosion) and checked the fuses on the system. Everything seems normal at this point. I decided to switch the bulb sockets for the turn signals (since the right side is working). The left side still did not function properly. This eliminates the bulb socket or the bulb as an issue. I have decided that there is an electrical problem of some sort preventing the bulb on the left side from turning on. If anyone has seen this type of problem and has an idea of something for me to check please let me know. Thanks.
ps. I want to fix this myself so that I do not have to take it to the shop on Monday. I have a 2001 C320.

mercedes-benz says that this is due to "incorrect failure determination in control unit". "no repair solution available at this time".
in simple term to us, it is the problem with the semi conductor inside the control unit!
in my understanding, the lamp failure monitor senses the resistance of the bulb by using another resistor in parallel to determine the rise or drop on current. that "another resistor" inside the control unit is faulty
