<IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0">When I went to get in my car and start it,,,I could not turn the key or unlock the steering wheel,,,it is a 96 280C,,,,what gives,,,no amount of jiggling of the steering wheel or key will unlock it???</P>

If the temperature is low, warm the key with a hairdryer and stick it hot in the hole, if that dont work, apply a couple of oil drops in the key, if still don't work, call service, it may be broken.

 

I'm afraid it might be your ignition switch. This type of problem have happened to me and mybuddies several times with any car: German, Japanese, American, etc...
