I think I might have gotten screwed,hopefully there's a solution.
Hello everyone, first time here, so long story short I wasted my life til I was 43. Finally getting my act together and doing better. So, I was introduced to a guy who had a 2001 e320. He told me it needed a 900 dollar repair to the ignition system. So I did some work for the guy and he gave me the car. I towed it to a reputable dealership with a good service department. When he had a chance to look it over he called me back and said that they can't work on it without the original ignition switch that was sold with the car. He's supposed to be making sure of this and calling me back, but I'm pretty upset. I did a good amount of hard work for this car and I don't see how this guy would think he would get away with just tricking me into getting the car off his property, and then that's the last he'll ever hear of me? Because the dealership mechanic told me there is no way the guy would not have known that was going to be the case if he's ever had a MB tech look at it, and he said he has. So I'm trying to find out if there's a workaround or if I have to go jerk a bunch of framing out of a building. I hope I don't sound like a jerk, but if this guy did just pawn it off on me I feel like he's just betting on the fact that I'm gonna roll over and take it, but those 43 years I pissed away were not spent at Disneyland. I was really excited that I was able to pull off getting this car by myself, to have something nice that I got by myself, I really hope there's something I can do, but the mechanic at the dealership I'm thinking might be right... Anyway thanks for reading and if you can help I'd sure appreciate it.
