Default how to replace fuel filt on c20

I was wondering if someone could tell me where the fuel filter is located on a 1997 C280. My car has a miss on hard acceleration and I figure the filter should be replaced since it has 90,000 miles. Thank you.

Have the plugs ever been changed? Might want to do this also, with those miles. I sorry I can't help with the filter. I have a 99 C280 an still can't figure out where the filter or filters are for the fuel system. I'll bet though there is one under the car someplace?

Thanks for the advice. I have replaced the plugs and wires, and check to make sure they all arc when unplugged. I judt found the filter today. It is just in front of the passenger side rear wheel. you have to remove 3 nuts to get a plastic shroud off that blocks you from seeing it. Make sure you by new hose clamps before you replace because the old ones will be trashed.
