Default How to know if my 2004 is V60 enabled

Hello, my car is c230 2004 just visually, and by looking at my cosole, and before i go to the dealer, how can i find out if my car is enabled with the V60 and 'ready' for a cradle, all i have now in the center console (where the cradle shd lie) is a little socket (looks ready to get the connection from the V60 cradle ) .. does that mean i just need to buy the cradle and plug it in , is it that simple, i 'm planning on getting the V60 then getting the BT adaptor for it (instead of getting the Argos kit)

Help is appreciated[/align]

In the rear of the car you would have a PSE and the voice command module. But the easy way to tell when you go to phone mode what does it say on the display? Oh, and the little stalk on the right side of the steering column is the voice command switch. If you go Mercedes figure on 2-3K.
The phone mode is turned on at the factory for the cluster but you may have had service done and the well meaning tech turned it off as was mine. And the fiber optic cable may be tied back behind the radio so to connect you will need to tear the console and dash apart.
Good luck!

at phone mode it says TEL off, does it mean it has it , but turned off?, does that mean i just have to get the V60 cradle AND the V60 BT adaptor, and i'm good to go?

i'm thinking it says 'OFF' coz i don't have the V60 cradle, once i plug it in it turns to ON (is that true?), and then plug the BT adaptor for the V60 ($350), then it shd be ready for any phone .. or this is not how it works?

Do you have the voice module? That would be most noticable by the lever on the column. Confirm you still have the PSE before you dump money on a cradle and adapter.

Mine says "Ready" with the radio on and "Standby" with the radio off. I do not have a PSE in my system, I have the Argos. So I don't have a cradle or puck, my bluetooth phone connects directly to the Argos and uses the voice command system for hands free/car phonebook and controlling the other functions of the entertainment system.

No, i don't have the voice control lever on the right of the steering column, ... don't know how to check the PSE ... if i don't have the lever, what does that mean?
