Help - still getting P0002 after replacing HPFP
Hi all,
about 1 mo ago i was on the interstate and stepped on it to pass. Car buckled a bit then lost power and would not accelerate when pushed. Engine light came on. Checked codes and got P0002 - fuel volume regulator control circuit range/performance. After research, i took it to a shop and had the high pressure fuel pump replaced ($1k for the part, $1k labor, $200 misc). After that, all was good until last week. Same thing happened and engine light came on again. Mechanic suggested i use my code reader to erase the code then drive and see. Today same thing happened. Guess i wasted my money on the HPFP.
Any idea what the issue could be?
