Help please. 1990 300c class stick

Ok, so I'm ready to give up on my car. Ran great until 2 years ago, ignition module blew. Replaced. All great until car suddenly wouldn't start all the time. If my hubby put it on charger he could get it started. Replaced battery with stronger recommended one. Ran beautiful for cruising around. Suddenly blew another module. Replaced that. Car still inconsistent starts. I'd say 7 out of 10 times it won't start. Most times husband can turn it over again and again. No rhyme or reason than it starts out of the blue. I'm so upset. I can only run it out for crusing than back to house. Don't want to go anywhere and shut off as I fear it won't start for me. I think you see I frustrate easily. I used to love this car. Getting to the point i cant deal with it. It's gorgeous. It's a 1990 300 c class with hardtop and convertible . Stick that shifts like a dream. Please, please let me know what you think

Hello and welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear about the trouble that you're having with your MB. From my understanding, the convertible is quite rare and desirable. Have you taken the car to an independent Mercedes mechanic who had a definitive answer as to the issue or has it only been DIYed? These cars can be a bit difficult unless you have a lot of experience and knew their 'tips and tricks'. Post some photos of it here for us all to enjoy as well.

We called Mercedes and they won't look at it because it's too old. They say they can't plug it in. I have a wonderful mechanic that works on foreign cars. He's totally stumped
I'll look for some pictures

Where are you located? Perhaps some members can suggest a mechanic.
