Help needed C200
 

Hi i have a Mercedes C200 1996 model, when i brought it the man said he thinks it has a blown head gasket, i drove it home the temp went to high then dropped back to half, and stayed there,the next day when i started it, it run a bit rough at start up then idled good, there is no milky oil, no bubbles in coolant reservoir, no steam out exhaust but it does leak coolant out of over flow pipe, when running,and there is no heater, was told could be thermostat, any help Appreciated.

Hi i pulled thermostat out and put it in boiling hot water i couldn't see it open at all like it was seized closed
