Help to install c300 drivers lock
 

When I removed the door panel, I found a grey galvanized panel with rivets. Can someone help me to understand if I need to remove the whole interior panel and why? or removing some of the rivets get me access to remove the lock? the lock is broken internally. Not sure if I remove the rivets around I can remove the steel panel with window mechanism
