Hazard lights are flashing non-stop at fast speed....means...some error occurs during arming the security system.

Let's begin with a few simple steps.

It is possible that all doors including the trunk lid are not shut tight. They may be tight to a person, but they may not be tight according to the signals the computer receives.

What it means is that -- door_closed_sensors are still saying "door_closed = false". The sensors could be faulty.

Go around the car, open all doors and slam shut all doors tight. Slam the trunk particularly mercilessly.

Oh...before you do that....while all doors are open, try to play and jiggle the pushable notch on each door frame. These things are simple mechanical on/off sensors.

These steps mentioned above do not cost a thing and may solve the problem. So please give it a try.

Unplugging the battery would not hurt, but get the radio code first. Only remove the negative aka ground wire for about a minute, and put it back. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS ON THE POSITIVE WIRE as it is very dangerous on a Benz.

If my suggestion does not work...my apologies. You may need costly repair.

If you want to reset everything electrical, you need to disconnect both battery terminals, not just the ground terminal for one minute. This procedure may or may not reset everything. There will possibly be some electrical gremlins left behind that can cause other issues.

Disconnect both terminals (ground first) then touch them together for 15-20 seconds, then reconnect positive first, then ground. This will reset everything, guaranteed.

If this procedure scares you, disconnect both terminals (ground first) and leave them for 20 minutes, then reconnect positive first, then ground. This has the same effect, but takes much longer.
