Default Installing VCS

Hi, I just purchased VCS for my 2002 C32, and want to install it, and avoid going to the dealer. Anyone have any pointers to where I should start? I'm guessing the box plugs into something in the trunk?

This is what I bought:

Help?

Default RE: Installing VCS

I'm thinking the unit plugs into either the trunk or under the passenger seat...anyone know?

Default RE: Installing VCS

Your going to have to go to the dealer to have the audio system properly coded in order for the command to recognize the VCS. This can only be done with a SDS machine. The stalk you recieved will go right into the steering column, should be a little spot for it and a small black plug you have to remove in order for the stalk to fit. And im not 100% sure of where the VCS module goes but I think its in the trunk on the left side(driver side) and the orange wires with the kit are D2B cables and will have to be properly "spliced" into the D2B cables in the car now. That should also should be done by the dealer because damage to the D2B wires (fiber optic cables) will result in failure of the audio system. Also what head unit does your car have? The base headunits (Audio 20) most likely do not support VCS.
