I've got a 2006 c280 with the fuel filter in the tank and a part of the sending unit. I'm getting code PO453 and suspect that the fuel pump burned out because the filter was clogged. I replaced it but it's forever in limp mode now. Fingers crossed it's the filter. Can those b cleaned or do I gotta buy the whole sending unit? I havent pulled it out because it was a huge pain to get that ring off to get to the pump on the other side and I dread doing it again. Does anyone know if u can clean them or how? I'm kinda new to working on cars and replaced a vacume line w a spark plug wire I pulled off my dads pile of cutlass parts. So obviously a dumbed down version would b appreciated. Lol
