Default Fuel Pump?

I've only had my car for a month and I've noticed a humming/whirling noise coming from the right side of the rear seat/trunk area. At first I thought it was the fuel pump, but I was hoping to confirm this. I thought it only happened when the car was running, but then noticed the noise the other day after parking it in the garage. It has a distinct pattern that cycles without variation and I hear it after starting up and while driving. Any info would be appreciated. The car's running great with the exception of my rear headrests not going down using the button on the dash. (central locking works perfectly)

it can be the fuel pump.

other thing would be the PSE pump. if you lock and unlock the door, was it the same noise coming from that area?

Yes it is the same noise. After posting yesterday I listened to it on my drive home. I could hear the high pitched "whirl" of the fuel pump, but this noise sounds like an electric motor running about every 10 seconds or so. If the locks are working fine, but the rear headrests are not, would that mean I have a leak?

thanks Sleepwalker! I guess I'll look for the one in the car and cancel my Dr's appointment since it's not ME with the leak.

Any ideas where to start looking for the leak?

if the hissing is audible, then you can find it rather quickly... but if not,

best way to start is from the PSE area. all those components pipes goes there and a handy vacuum pump can help.

there isn't that much vacuum pipes that goes there, so try each of them.
