Default Fuel or electrical ?

I am still having my starting problem. I have 99 c230k. (my starting problem is if you let car sit more than 40 mins and try starting it up, it will take like 3-4 seconds of cranking before it starts. It does it through the day. Say i go to the mall, let the car sit for hour and try turning back on it will do the problem, and from mall i drive to the bank and let it sit for an hour and try turing back on it will do it again. If i turn on between 0-30 mins, then the car will turn just fine.

I have replaced the-
MAF
FUEL FILTER
FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR
AIR FILTER
91 OCTANE GAS
BOSCH SPARK PLUGS.
BATTERY PUTS UP 13.99 VOLTS

Today i just replaced the fuel pressure regulator and i am still having the problem.

Can it be electrical now??

I mean once i get the car on and turn it off and turn it back on within 35 mins then it will turn on fine with no problem.

What can it be.

This w202 is making me crazy!!!

Please help..

What you need to do is check for a fuel leak down. You will need a fuel pressure guage. You can pick one up cheep at a store like Harbor Freight. It will screw on to the service port on the fuel rail. Start the engine and let pressure build. Should be somewere aroun 3.5 bar. (1 bar = 14.7 psi) Now shut the engine down. The pressure should hold. You are allowed something like .5 bar in 15 minutes. My guess is that it will leak down right away. If you have a leak down, build pressure again and pinch off the fuel line to the rail. If it still leaks down you have a leaking injector. Make sure to pinch it off good. Use like 2 pair of vicegrips. If after pinching off the line the leak down quits, the leak is on the other side. I would think the check valve in the fuel pump is bad and you need a fuel pump. It is very rare to have a injector leaking most of the time it is the fuel pump. Good luck!
