ESP Warning
I have an 02 C240 that gets intermittent ESP Warning Visit workshop. This error sometimes happens when I first start the car (car still in park), sometimes after driving for 10-15 min (most of the time), and sometimes not at all (rarely). To me, this sounds like a sensor going bad. I have 2 questions. I have seen many posts about this issue, but havent seen how this issue has been resolved. My first question is, does anyone have any advise on which sensor could be going out. Secondly, does anybody know if I take my car to autozone will their machine pull the code since no check engine light is on? Thanks.
jayson, can be a lot of things but known for bad stop lamp switches that are under driver side dash in front of the brake pedal...(could be other things though)---autozone probably wont be able to help you...use need a scanner that can read more than check engine lights....where are you located???
I never did figure it out. I sold the car a few years ago. Sorry
Hope this helps but the brake light brake pedal switch are a common problem,
Replaced mine this morning
Hey presto lights gone
Took about thirty mins , the switch comes out by turning it clockwise after releasing the locking tab on its side , honest easy and satisfying job
You have to release the bonnet catch cable first though , no worries it pops out and back in easy enough,
Cost about £12 or thirteen sqiuds,
Brill
Good luck if you still have the car
