Engine Oil Weight for 1999 C280 95K miles
 

Hi,

I would like to know what engine oil SHOULD I be using. I have a 1999 C280 95K miles. So far there is no real loss of oil, I have a small stain on my oil pan cover, and I dont spew smoke from the exhaust. I have been using Mobil 1 Extended Performance Synthetic 5W30, but I really dont know what oil weight I should be using.

I was also curious if using a fleece filter will offer MORE protection and not just longer protection as opposed to the paper filter.

Don't know about fleece filters except I think that's what my Dad's 54 Chevy had.
