Engine misfire

<TD width="100%" bgColor=#ffffff><FONT face=Arial,Helvetica,Helv size=2>Hey guys, my wife has 95 c220 and when the car shift gears into second (AT) it hesitates like no other, but I keep pressing the pedal hard and its normal again. but the other day the engine misfire and it runs like a rabbit, all of the sudden the check engine light is on. I have not take my car to the shop yet, just curious, if anybody had this problem before, and what exactly to fix. Thank you

</TD></TR></T></TABLE>I have a 95 C280 which I bought with theengine light onhttp://mercedesforums.com/smileys/smiley5.gif border=. Hoping it was something simple like a bad oxygen sensor or something, I drove it home from Texas and it was misfiring and it would revv up to about 4000 RPM before shifting. I took it home and changed the plugs and fuel filter and nothing, I took it to my benz mechanic and they hooked it up and got a reading that the fuel mixture was too lean, but they said I needed a new wiring harness, so $1300.00 later the car is doing great, no misfiring,hesitation, rough idle. All cured and for such a modest price too. http://mercedesforums.com/smileys/smiley2.gif border= I paid way too little for this car and I now know why but overall I'm very pleased. This is my third Mercedes and I won't drive anything else.
