Driver Side Brake Disc Screw Striped
I just tried removing my front drive side rotor on Mercedes Benz C230 Sport 2005 and it started to strip, but I can't get the rotor off. Can you please provide some guidance or suggestions in reference to this? I am stuck on what to try next? I still have to replace the rotors. Please view the attached picture the screw is pointed out in red circle.
Thanks.

is the screw threads striped out or the head to get the screw out? you can buy something at sears that is for removing striped out screws, they work well. they do sell different types of extractors for different needs. if it is the threads that are striped out then just bang the hell out of the rotor with a large hammer and then it will just break off. then istall rotor. you can go without the screw, or buy one at the dealer at another time. always good before taking out the screw to insert the hex or torx socket, which ever it is and bang it with a hammer to loosen it up before trying to remove the screw.
