Door Control Module

Can anyone tell how to test if door control module (chip on the door) is working properly or not. If I want to buy a new one from where do I buy it.

MyC240 (2002) has a problem that window does not come up, it goes down but not up. I changed the window motor but still no good. Regulator is ok.

I suspect either it is module or it is the some fuse. Please help

RE: Door Control Module

Here are my thoughts on your window problem. If you have power to the switch, and you obviously do, because the window goes down (but not up) and the regulator is not broken, which you say it's not, then the problem is in the switch itself. ALWAYS check the switch first on any window problem. It's the easiest to access, the least expensive, and might save you the cost of a motor if you hear no hum from the motor or it doesn't do anything. How many people have replaced their radiator when it was a bad cap. OK. You can buy these things several places. The one I use is www.autopartswarehouse.com. Free shipping over 50 bucks, and your part is $112.
That includes the whole switch assembly, not just the switch for that one window. Another way to check power windows is to bypass the switch with a hot 12V wire. This usually can be done right at the switch on most cars. I don't know about yours. They are simple rocker switches at best and make the window go up or down by giving the motor 12V either way. That's how I did it for years. I hope this helps you out. :D
