I own a 2006 C230 Mercedes-Benz. My problem is that I have no interior lighting. The dome light does not function, either manually or automatically, day or night ( the instrument panel is ok). I had two dealers diagnose ( with their computer) that the 'upper control unit', located in the dome light has to be changed : this costs approximately 1000$ if you count the control unit(800$) taxes and labor. I find it excessive just to have interior lighting in a car! Anybody had this problem and how was it solved?
