Does Door Lock Vacuum Pump Need Coded?
 

Hi, been awhile since I've been on here. Quick question. I have a customer that needs the vacuum pump unit replaced in his 98 c230. The wiring to the unit is tested fine, but I can hear the pump struggling when you press the door lock button so I know its the pump. If I purchase a new or used pump, do I need the MB Star tool in order to recode it, or can I just swap and go?
