Differences late Sport Suspension to 2001 C stock suspension
Hello. New here to this forum, but not new to Mercedes suspension mods.
I had an E 320 Sedan which I upgraded to the factory sport suspension which included springs, shocks, stabilizer bars and stiffer rubber bushings in the suspension for this model . The E car was lowered and everything fit and worked perfectly, something I have not always experienced using aftermarket suspension parts on my cars. I would similarly like to install the factory Sport Suspension on my wife's 2001 C with stock suspension and brakes.
Since my local dealer's parts people have no patience and lack the basic competence required in researching this issue for me, I have questions about the late C 320 Sport suspension and 4 piston front brakes:
1. Is the late sport suspension a bolt on of just 4 springs, front struts and rear shocks for my 2001 car?
2. Are there differences in the control arms, bump stops or suspension uprights as well?
3. Are there harder rubber bushings in the Sport suspension's pivots?
4. Are the stabilizer bars different?
5. Do the late larger drilled discs and calipers bolt on to an early C?
6. Are there any other differences in the braking system such as master cylinder, rear caliper or other changes required to match the late front brakes?
7. Can anyone give me a list of part numbers for all the changed parts?
8. Who is best source for the parts out of Caifornia and at a discount?
I did a search of the forum for my questions and came up with no answer.
Thanks.
