Dash cluster replacement.
Hey all. My 97 C230 W202 dash cluster had the backlight bulbs done with leds a few years back now the leds are flickering so I bought some new bulbs and holders. Not all of them worked as i have had the dash in and out 40 times to get the leds right and there mat be some loss of conduction strip on PCB so I ordered some conductive paint and I also bought a used dash cluster for the unscratched contacts and untwisted bulb holders, especially the turn signal indicator bulb that decided to stop working. So this is the question....can I just plug in the "new" dash cluster and have it read out the proper mileage from the PCM or DCM rather than the cluster? I can have the dash out in 15 seconds at this point but I need this done and it would be so nicw if the cluster would read the real 207k miles.Car runs great and I've fixed just about everything on it and I dont want to rely on my 2010 Dodge Journey although that runs great once its started with the battery charger on.
