check engine light code 26
Hello, I am have quite a problem on my 1994-E-420 Mercedes. I was having a problem with the check engine light coming on about every three day's and the code was #26. I checked all of the vacuum lines and all were ok. I purchased a new upshift delay vacuum switch, which I was told the culprit was that, now the problem is since I changed the upshift valve the check engine light now comes on every day, I reset it and the next day it comes on again still code #26 I just threw $34.00 in the garbage, glad that I changed it and not the dealer?? Does anyone out there have any super ideas to repair the problem<IMG src=smileys/smiley17.gif border="0">I sure can use all the help <IMG src=smileys/smiley14.gif border="0">that anyone can give me. Thanks everyone. Ben Still wondering if anyone on the forum has any ideas as to my problem.<edited><editID>bigben3</editID><editDate>38021.7452199074</editDate></edited>

It will reset on its own after several starts. Don't disconnect the battery unless you have your radio codes handy.....
