HELP!
I need to pass inpsection in NJ I have a Mecerdes 1999 280c with 135K miles. I know I have a problem with the catalytic converter because I had it checked out by a certified MB mechanic. Other that the cc problem the engine has been running just fine. Today, I saw online that you can add an emmisons systems cleaner to the gasoline tank.
Does anyone know of a brand that works? Is this OK to put in the gas tank ?
I saw this one on Amazon -

Its killing me that this problem costs more than the value of my car.

Hello and welcome to the forum! I would be cautious with that cleaner - I'm not sure how they can definitively guarantee that you'll pass if the car has some pre-existing issues. You can likely find a used, useful CC at a parts yard that should address the issue and have you pass.
