I need advise please!!!!
I had the crankshaft positioning sensor replaced recently and then experienced the car misfiring - fault showed 2,4,5,6, cylinders misfiring. The repair centre informed me the new sensor had to be calibrated - this is apparently done at a constant engine speed of 2200 RPM in 3rd gear for a period of 45sec!!!
Thus done and calibrated, I got the car back and now 50miles later the same problem of bad misfiring.
This was never experienced prior to the CPS being replaced. Is it possible that this may be caused by the replaced (original) sensor??
