C320 has OLD oil. Am I screwed?
[align=left]My fiancee is the proud owner of a 2005 C320 coupe. we recently got engaged and have been living together for the past year. While the car is definitely hers I often help her maintain it (bring it to the shop, etc.) In a case of she didn't know it was necessary and I didn't know it was my responsibility: It is overdue for it's "Service B" (we brought it in for an issue with the headlights and they told us to ignore the dashboard warning) and when I called today to make an appointment, I found out it hasn't had it's oil changed since Oct. 2006 [
]
I do remember them telling us the oil was synthetic and good for ~10000 miles. However, the woman at the dealership said it's good for ~10000 miles or one year whichever comes first. I asked for the mile count when we did get it changed and she told me around 12500. It now has somewhere around ~25000.
Eek.
So, how screwed am I? Should I ask the dealer to look for any wear in the engine when I bring it in? Is there anything special maintainance-wise I need to do now (besides timely oil changes [8D]) because this happened?
I should note that the car still runs splendidly (for now), I would describe the car's use as "moderate" and we always fill it with premium.

I'm sure the dealer used the right oil, and you should be OK, I'm sure, that there is a safty factore in miles you are told to change the oil, and I believe you are on the safe side. In the mean time I would say to change the Oil asap.
