C320 Crank position sensor
 

My 2001 C320 has been stalling and hard to start when hot. Problems go away when the car is cool and/or outdoor temp is cool. Many suggested that it could be the crank position sensor. I understand it is located at the rear of the engine but was not able to locate.... any help is appreciated.

yes sounds like L5 sensor the location of the sensor is on the left back of the engine with a 2pin connnector not bad easy to get to.............

yes on the left by the stater motor..................
