C280 Schatz exhaust tips
Well after a lot of looking around I decided to get the real thing and spent a ton on real Schatz exhaust tips. I have heard both sides of the story, that they look good and they look stupid. Well here are some pictures. I am really on the fence and have 30 days to return them as long as they are undamaged. So far they were just slid into place for the photos and are now back in the box. What do you think?

GTreg,
What really matters is what you think. I think they look just fine, better than plain. Go for it. Cheers, Trygve |

I agree they look better then plain but only from the back. Any other view gives me a buckey beaver feeling. I am going to come up with plan B. Just not sure what that is yet.

RE: C280 Schatz exhaust tips
I got them from PerformanceProducts.com. I have done a lot of busness with them over the years and they are a good outfit. Pricy but they only sell the real thing. I got them at 10% off for $179.10. WIth tax and shipping they were $209.93 dilivered. If you really like them then go for it as they are so well made. Chrome plated stainlesssteel direct from Germany. I have included a few pictures of plan B. Good stainless steel polish an old sock and 6 minutes of elbow greese. This is the result. I'm done, this works for me. If you go with the tips that's cool. It really is all about how the car makes you feel. I just didn't want to see those funky pipes hanging out of from under this beutiful car.
Take care, Greg |

Yes, plan B looks much better! Plan A looked like $30 tips from PEP Boys.
The original ones that you paid $179 for were way overpriced in my opinion. --VS |
