I have a 94 C280, that when I shift the tranny into either reverse or drive, I hear a sound like a small compressor or pump coming from the top front area of engine. Seems to be near the oil filler cap or just below. Is this noise normal? I don't hear it from inside with the windows up. Only when I am outside of car when my wife puts it in gear.
