c280 battery light/voltage regulator
 

my battery light and abs light came on and 2 hours later my car shut off, I tried to restart it 20 min later and it did got home, later on the car would take no battery charge at all. The car left me on the road , i bought a new battery and light went off but went back on a bit after. does anyone know where the voltage regulator is located on 1995 c280. Second, if the light would come on after the new battery because battery is fully charged and alternator cannot recharge because of that. by the way the abs light went off.

some mercedes have bosch alternators and some have valeo alternators. Voltage regulator is on back side. Either inside plastic housing or outside, directly on alternator back side. remove, 2 screw on bosch applicationor 3 screws on valeo. direct bolt in. [align=right]

i had that happen to me and i was thinking it was the battery, turns out the alternator stopped working.. you might wanna check that before anything
