C240 automatic gearbox failed to shift up
Hi everybody
I found a problem on my 1997 C240 today. After I accelerated hard on the 4th gear, the gearboox stuck to third/second gear (over 3000 rpm at 60 km per hour) and could not shift up. However, after I stopped the car and start again, everything resumed normal.
Any similar experience before and is it expensive to fix.

yes similar to me
hi i have a similar problem twice my car wouldnt go past third so i pulled over swiched off and back on and it was fine 1998 c240 sport auto, i also had a real problem going up a long steep hill i think maybe auto cluch slip?? can anyone help us?
