C230 Sport oil capacity
I just had the service A done on my 2006 C230 Sport. they charged me for 6 quarts of oil. My owners manual states it takes 8.5 quarts, so i called the service manager who couldn't explain and will talk to technician. He calls back and says tech says his chart shows this car requires 6 quarts. He says the owners manual must be for a different engine.
So did they just remove 6 quarts from a 8.5 quart crankcase and leave 30 percent of the old oil in it, or is the manual wrong?
Facts, thoughts, or comments?

8.5 qt of oil for your car.
but dont worry. if it ever goes below what the engine needs, the computer will bitch.
if your car has dip stick, check that. if not, you can check electronically via instrument panel.
if the computer is not complaining, you are fine.

benz dealers use a pump to suck the oil out. they do not drain like lube shops.
usually the mechanic put the tube/hose in to suck the oil out, turn the pump on, and turn away and do other things. by the time he comes back, sucking is done.
this new procedure will never clean out 100% of the oil. but at least 90%.
if this particular mechanic and benz dealer truly believe your car takes 6-qt, you have to start going to other places for oil change.
