I live in the San Francisco area (to be precise, in Redwood City).
My 2003 C230 sedan needs a new windshield, and my insurance doesn't cover it. Can anyone recommend a good store and how much should I expect to pay? What else (warranty, etc.) should I watch out for?

Insurance doesn't cover windshield. Here is Mass they are covered, with no deductible. find the tread about my neighbors ML with the broker windshield. It might be helpful in your quest!

 

Windshields are covered under comprehensive coverage. It's optional and can carry a deductible, even in MA. Comprehensive coverage covers non-collision-type damage such as "acts of God". I'm sure I explained this to you recently. Maybe it was your other self, since you're bipolar. You two should get together sometime.

 

I haven't had a windscreen replaced in a long time, but I didn't pay a deductible. My neighbor told me last night, it wasn't costing her a dime.

If there's no deductible, then your premiums are higher. You can lower your premiums by paying a deductible.

I'm right, I'm right in Mass, and there are no increase for deductibles for windshield as no deductible exist for windshielf. A state Senator by the name of Kennedy push this law true, over 20 years ago. You really do think you know everything, at first I thought you were kidding, but now you scare me.

 

I used to live in MA. Less than 20 years ago and I had car insurance. State Farm, not some lunatic fringe insurance. I hate to insist, but you wrong as Hell, little stain.
