I have recently purchased a 1998 C230.</P>


I want to disable the headlight feature that stays on for approximately 15-30 seconds after I shut off the engine. Can anyone advise me how to do this?</P>

Either ask a dealer or find a car shop with the Mercedes STAR system</P>

 

1998 c-class didn't have multi-function steering wheel. Also not "all the settings are done from there", its depends on the year &amp; model. The feature mentioned has been a standard feature on all US-bound mercedes since 1998 (correct me if I am wrong). It wasn't until the release of the current S, C, E, etc.. which the feature can be disabled by owner, instead of the new dealer. </P>
