C230 Noise on Slow Acceleration and Decel
Sorry for the double post. I just noticed the C.x forum. I originally posted this in general.
I recently purchased a 2002 C230 Kompressor. Needs one new rim (hairline crack) and tires but over all a fun good looking car. However, I have noticed a peculiar noise. When I gently press or release the gas I hear what sounds like a flutter e.g., sounds like "d..d..d..". It is consistent and mechanical. Not like a loose part vibrating. Is this sound possibly the wastegate? Performance is great. Just want to make sure it isn't anything to worry about.
